Privacy notice

Last updated 4 August 2026.

ClariSale is being built and is not open to customers. You can create an account and list a property, but ClariSale cannot yet arrange viewings or handle offers, and it is not yet registered with HMRC for anti-money-laundering supervision or a member of a redress scheme. Do not use ClariSale as your only route to sell a home.

Who we are

ClariSale is a residential estate agency marketplace for England and Wales, currently in development. For anything in this notice, including a request to see or delete your data, contact abidkhan9112@gmail.com.

ClariSale decides how and why your personal data is used, which makes it the data controller for it.

What we collect, and why

We only collect what a step you have taken actually needs.

  • Your account: your name, email address and a password that is stored only as a scrambled value we cannot reverse. We need this to give you an account and keep it secure. If you turn on two-factor security, we store the secret for it encrypted.
  • Your property, if you are selling: the address, the price, and the facts you tell us about it, together with where each fact came from. We need this to prepare and publish a listing. Approved listings are public by design.
  • Sign-in activity: the times of failed sign-in attempts and the network address they came from, so we can slow down people trying to break into accounts. This is a legitimate interest in keeping accounts safe.
  • A record of significant actions: who did what and when, for example approving a listing. We keep this so decisions can be checked afterwards and so nobody can quietly rewrite history.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and there is no analytics service running on this site. The only cookie ClariSale sets is the one that keeps you signed in.

Why we are allowed to use it

Mostly because you asked us to provide a service, which the law calls performance of a contract. Security measures such as sign-in throttling rest on our legitimate interest in protecting accounts. In future, identity and anti-money-laundering checks will rest on a legal obligation, and we will update this notice before that begins.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. It is handled on our behalf by:

  • Railway, which hosts the application and the database.
  • Maileroo, which delivers our emails, and therefore handles your email address and the contents of those messages. Maileroo processes this in Europe.

If you list a property and it is approved, the listing itself becomes public, including the address and the facts you gave us. Your name and contact details are not published.

How long we keep it

Different things are kept for different periods, because some of them settle disputes years later:

  • Your account, for as long as you have one.
  • Property facts and the record of exactly what was published, for six years, so there is a record of what a buyer was told.
  • Records of significant actions, for at least six years.
  • Technical logs, for between thirty and ninety days.

These periods are our current policy and are being confirmed with professional advice before ClariSale takes on real customers.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email the address above and we will answer within one month.

Deleting an account does not remove the record that a decision was made, because those records exist to keep everyone honest. Where that applies we remove what identifies you rather than the fact itself, and we will explain what we have done.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

What this notice does not yet cover

ClariSale does not currently collect identity documents, proof of funds, or any financial information, and no such feature exists on this site today. When buyer verification is built, this notice will be updated and explained before anyone is asked for anything.
